So I posted a while back about this girl

So basically today I called her out. I know she was looking to start a relationship with me and I told her straight up.

I've seen messages and I'm not interested in being the 2nd place consolation prize in a relationship. I'm still cool to hang out but she just needs to know I'm not interested in a relationship.

Fair to say, her hamster started spinning like crazy, saying none of those texts were true (despite I actually read the texts from her phone) and it ended with me and her just kinda cutting contact.

No problem, got a new girl lined up today.

My question is, am I silly for doing this? The sex was good, she was fun to hang out with and I was enjoying it. I did this purely out of ego and a pride/dignity thing. I felt like I was 2nd place, and to make it even worse she was expecting a relationship out of it. I felt almost like a cuck. As if the other guy had given her to me or something.

The whole thing just made me feel like a fucking 2nd place loser if I took the easy sex.

Is this a bad side of ego? Something I should work on and just enjoy the good sex and fun times?

Or am I right here in saying I would be disrespecting myself by accepting this kind of thing?
