I overheard my male classmate being severely reprimanded by a teacher for just hacking my female classmate profile and putting a funny (not naked or anything) picture of her as a pfp. That probably deserves punishment, but I remember I thought even then he was treated like he beat her up with a bat, not like he's done a childish and relatively innocent bad thing. And girls pretty much could react with squealing and claiming they're victims of violence even if someone passing by barely touched them accidentally

Or, this is mostly about preferential treatment, but, in PE girls could say they have periods and leave, despite only two out of 15 doing that, and it wasn't a secret these two were lazy and slackers. The whole PE is in fact sexist, reinforcing the idea that all boys are naturally strong and all girls are naturally weak, while people are naturally divided by abilities or at least height/weight categories, not by sex

Boys had to be watched while we changed and stuff in PE cause staff was afraid we’d get into fights or mess up something.

Yes. Civics teacher was ill one day--one of the few male teachers I had. He had the sub (female) administer the in-class project. Project was a complete surprise hypothetical pretending that the earth was going to blow up and we had a spaceship and hour to decide who was going to go to mars to form a colony, what was being taken, and what type of government. Most of the class wasted an hour "voting" on everything under the direction of the female "class president"--nothing was getting done; everyone complaining; wasting time on forming committees, etc. ,etc. Two buddies and me broke off, formed a Triumvirate, allocated space on the spaceship based on what resources we would need and essential skills--i.e. only useful able-bodies people or scientists with expertise in certain areas, wrote everything down and launched our ship with 5 minutes to spare. Rest of the class blew up.

The sub failed my group for "failing to follow directions, failing to collaborate, exhibiting fascist and eugenics behavior, being sexist (as we included a set number of females for breeding), ablist, racist, etc., etc. The rest of the (now "dead") class got As for "promoting democracy." My group was ridiculed in front of the class.

Teacher came back the next day, gave my group an A+ for initiative, quick thinking, problem solving, and using a historical example to guide our decision; the rest of the class failed because they did not complete the task and because the entire point of the project was to demonstrate that democracies only work in stable societies where there is time for decision-making.

That in-class exercise pretty much summed up my entire high school experience with female teachers--"discussion," "cooperation," "process, " "following directions," and "group projects" were always rewarded/lauded-----all things the females excelled at.

Boys were brow-beaten for "being competitive," "not asking permission," "working ahead," and taking initiative.

Let me introduce myself. I am an Title IX activist after the shit I went through. My work has produced several federal investigations which are ongoing. I recently scored a win against Hackbright.

My university had women only job fairs, women only classes, women only teams etc. The job fairs I could attend were flagrantly bias. Men got shuffled along like swine handing in resumes. Women got the red carpet and were pulled aside to chat.

Well I was marginalised by the same teacher from kindergarten to year 6, I only had her for year 6 and year 3 but she would call me weak are mock me being male and go to the point of mermering stuff like "the world would be a better place with males like you" it was mainly when she was the only adult in the room and she probably just assumed I was to young to understand being like 7 but she got me in trouble when I wasn't even involved also not sure if that was sexism specifically or just biasness but with her track record I wouldn't be the slightest surprise.

What we did to fix it, told the school a thousand times, they said they'll look into but never did. Being it's a school owned by the education department of the government we put a government complaint and got a response saying a few months later that no visible harm was done to child therefore the problem isn't present, I have no idea if they even did something themselves but the party in government was notorious for not funding governmental resources like schools enough so that could've been part of the reason. (Australian government)

Now I'm 18 so it's been about ten years since I've got different problem and rapped that part of my life up but it well effected me all the way through high school until maybe the last 1 or 2 years. Every now and then my mother will tell the story of her trying to solve the issue to no avail and one her favourite parts to tell is when she smacked one of the school gates into a wall after a parent teacher interview where that same teacher accused my mum of not raising me right or even being unfit of a mother to be unable to take care of my mental health, the principles did call her in for the gate slaming and after her explanation she was more understanding thankfully. Unfortunately that same teacher is now the principal of the school so I feel very sorry for the boys there.

At my elementary school library, only a limited number (I think two or three) of boys could sit at a table together, while no such limit was placed on girls sitting together.

I recall being told to "be a man" by my teacher but honestly can't remember why he said it and I don't recall being annoyed over it. I just thought it was weird.

I'm a girl but I witnessed guys getting in trouble for stuff that girls never did. like two girls ran off into the woods and came back, teacher gave zero shits. a boy stepped on and off the curb as a joke an got yelled at by the pricipal and had to sit in her office all day.
