So I (17 M) am traveling at the moment and at the airport while going through security I noted that the staff were very rude to people in general ( one staff member even flat out called someone blind) I went through that machine where you raise your arms for a few seconds,

when I’m done, a member of security staff ( male) pats me down without consent and does so in an inappropriate manner touching me in the privates. My mom who was as surprised as I was asked what the hell they were doing.

A crew member responded that the machine indicated a pat down but didn’t explain how ( pockets were completely empty) then the person who pat me down asks for my age, I say as such and the staff member has the audacity to say “ yes he is old enough” my mom asked what the guy meant. Then all of a sudden a female staff member tells my mom to just calm down even though I’ve essentially been sexually assaulted.

We have decided not to bother with a report because this was a connection airport and we won’t be around long.

But I can just say that if I was female, things would have been completely different. I don’t really know how to feel about the whole thing as I was unhurt and it happened so fast. I think I should just let this go but what do you fellas think?
