Toxic masculinity plays a part too. Hear me out.

Common misconception is that “toxic masculinity” means that masculinity is toxic but it doesn’t mean that. (If you read my explanation and have a different terminology besides TM that fits I’m more than willing to discus the use of that instead).

Part of TM perpetuates the idea that men have to be “mentally/emotionally tough”. And that if they aren’t (even in just one situation) then somehow their masculinity is at risk. So they’re somehow less masculine if they show emotions/vulnerability. This is obviously not true in all situations and just an overgeneralization. So - one reason (absolutely not trying to claim this is the only reason - I know it’s not) men don’t report is fear of how people will perceive them. See how Terry Crews was treated when he spoke out. He was mocked. A lot.

He was asked why he didn’t hit him, how it could happen when he is so strong/has big muscles/ etc. Blaming him for it when he was the victim. Specifically pointing out stereotypical male behavior (being strong) and mocking him for still being assaulted despite having those characteristics. That is what I would call TM.

The problem main problem with Feminism portraying this theory of "toxic masculinity".

Is that women and Feminism perpetuate their own theory. My own gf (a light feminist) tells me that although she believes in "toxic masculinity" to an extent. She finds men that are sensitive and cry ext "a turn off".

Women are attracted to strong men in the same way that men are attracted to women with good childbearing characteristics. We are all just animals at the end of the day.

The second problem with the theory of "toxic masculinity"....is that it is often used mockingly and condescendingly by Feminism....Or used as a label and insult against men that demonstrate traits that align with the theory....it is often used as an attack.

Wheras in the version of "toxic masculinity" that you state.....Men would be a victim....yet Feminism uses it mockingly. So ,going by your own definition of "toxic masculinity".... Feminism is victim blaming men on a large scale.

Thirdly, the phrase has been done to death at this point , simler to patriarchy and misogyny to an extent. It has become so watered down and misquoted that any real meaning behind it has been lost. If it had any merit at any point, that has been lost and it is now just ether an insult , or a "buzz word" to chuck out as a shield when someone is losing an argument.

Probably higher if the bar is going to be that low. I use to work security back in the day for dance clubs and bars, 4 out of 5 people we booted were women and the overwhelming majority of the time it was for harassing men, the rest of the time it was because they were trying to start physical fights with both men and women (there is always a girl or two doing anything to get in a fist fight with another woman.. shit was so strange). Women in these settings grab and grope men to an insane degree.

From my experience over the years, you put the right amount of alcohol in *some women*, they turn into the exact nightmare they accuse men of being at all times. Except it's a little worse because they are very enabled by others around them.

One of the noticeable things that I wish would get looked at, when men harass women in these settings, it's slow and takes a while for the most part. Like men crowd space, verbally bother, follow, try 3 times etc. before anything ever escalates. It's like a slow burn, but you definitely see it. The women who did this shit went from 0-100 real quick. Like they won't talk or try some sly trickery stuff, they would just walk up to a man and grab his ass or junk right away. Always found the way men and women harass each other being so different fascinating after seeing so much of it with my own eyes. Like the men work at it like a fight, some body shots, jabs, pick away at them. The women are just throwing haymakers and roundhouses out the gate.
