I saw a post once that pictured a mugshot of a 40-50 year old man wearing a woman's wig and he had been arrested for having sexual intercourse with a dog. the post read something like "woman arrested for having sex with a dog" ... I know sounds crazy but that was the story I'm not making it up. anyways I commented "so are we really just calling men with wigs on women now?" the backlash I got from the trans community was swift and vicious and was followed by a warning from Reddit that I was "insisting hate and attacking a marginalized group and if I did it again I would be permanently banned"🤣... for asking a question!!! a real question and a damn valid one if you ask me. anyways reddit is obviously heavily agendized and wants nothing to do with free speech and is obviously trying to shape thoughts as much as they are trying to make money or entertain or anything else so try not to let it piss you off too much. people can still say whatever the fuck they want in the real world at least for now but we have to play by the minority rules in here sometimes and that sucks but what are you going to do right🤷🏻

It's a good thing that I don't care about social media. IDGAF if I get banned. Reddit is only entertainment to me. I like the discussions, but they don't mean much to me nor do they have much importance in my life.

Censorship is everywhere now. In the attempt to equalize speech, Reddit ends up being the very thing it opposes...

Funny, my alt account got banned for pointing out that a male was male. They also banned it for "hate speech". So, apparently you can't mention anyone by gender on reddit without getting banned.

And, if your wondering if there was other context, yes. It was a discussion of how statistical analysis of hate crimes can be used to help prevent hate crimes in the future. My guess is that people who are the types to perform hate crimes scoured the subs for anyone mentioning any statistic they fall under and reporting them for "hate speech".

I mean, yeah. A lot of men will use “women” or “woman moment” in a misogynistic way. Usually in a way to silence when a woman expresses an opinion or to demean when one woman makes a mistake (as if it’s the fake that she’s a woman and not that humans just make mistakes sometimes). It’s not at all wild to me that you might’ve been misogynistic just by commenting “women”.
