Anyone else worried about how much Society gives attention to girls while sacrificing boys.

In most Media, little girls are shown to be excelling while little boys are shown to be foolish.

Most children of main characters in films and shows etc are girls. Girls are shown as having much more importance and bringing much more happiness to parents. Boys are rarely given any attention except in some rare but notable cases.

Also many male characters who boys looked upto are being sacrificed for their female counter part. I have even seen people defending this hijacking of male characters, idk how they will feel if a traditional female character is made a male. Boys also need characters to look up to ans its just lazy writing to first of all just hijack male characters and not create any original female characters.

Coming to some real life examples

We all know how society has become very ignoring of boys in education. Society gives too much importance to "development" Of girls even though they have already overtaken boys. The school and education system too is basically designed as an advantage for girls or just students in general who are much more controllable rather than chaotic.

My brother who is in middle school was part of a school band and had to play at some state level competition. Apparently my school decided at the last minute to go with a only girls team (only school in the state to do so rn) which means my brother couldn't even participate in the competition he was made to practice so much for. At last the only girls team won the first prize because of their "only girls" Unique thing which apparently is seen as woman empowerment here. Them winning first prize will push more schools to take this tokenist measure and push out boys even more.

Coming to the title, society in general just seems to only consider little girls as "special". So much so that little girls are considered as mature, special and brilliant while boys are just boys. Greta Thunberg could never be a boy because a boy talking about climate change and protesting against it would never recieve that much media attention. He would actually be called stupid and maybe " Nerdy" By most of society. Little boys are being increasingly pushed as just "supporters" Of girls who are the real main deal.

This clearly needs to stop.
