Thinking about a comment I saw in a daily thread the other day. It mentioned single dudes being at a house party or something. Long story short they weren’t getting any ladies.

It’s not enough for guys to just go to bars/parties, even if you live in a metro area. You gotta have hobbies going on outside of work. Like hiking, biking, etc. Honestly, prob need to have hobbies involving a lot of people. Oh, and you’re mostly screwed if you moved to a new city for work with no friends/family. This is obvious to most everyone here but deserves to be reiterated.

I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just not worth the effort. All of the married people I work with are like hamsters on wheels trying to balance kids, work, hobbies, inlaws, etc. They cut exercise out to make time for other stuff, so they’re all overweight. They make jokes about being jealous of my life. Ya know, grass is always greener. Trying to live a full life nowadays seems so exhausting. I tip my hat to anyone that’s pulling it off.

I don’t really have any specific advice for my fellow men, or women for that matter. Maybe get a vasectomy, if you make under $200k/yr? Finances is another thing I hear my coworkers constantly stressing about. Thinking about just getting a motorcycle to ride on the weekends. Makes me feel so alive being on one. Hopefully, it makes up for the lack of fulfillment that comes with raising a child lol. Oh, and this is all coming from someone that’s slightly introverted but still likes to socialize. I’m sure it’s all a lot easier for extroverted people but surely not by much. Thanks for reading my word vomit.

tldr: just live life bruh
