For context I’m an overall healthy person, not overweight and I workout a lot but I just don’t do a lot of endurance work outs.
So we went bike riding on a really hot day and I pushed myself a bit too hard. I asked if we could take a break, figuring I would only need a few minutes. But, my heart rate wasn’t coming down after 5 -10 minutes of resting (it was staying at 150). I was unfortunately also on adderall for my ADHD which made it harder for my heart rate to come down.
This was making me feel very lightheaded and dizzy. He went to get me water, but the longer we waited the more annoyed he got with me.
Since I was feeling so lightheaded I had suggested that maybe we should cut the bike ride short and do something else. He said okay but he became m distant from me and said he was disappointed. I honestly felt that I may have needed to be hospitalized if my heart wasn’t going down.
I ended up deciding I would finish the bike ride if we go slow and everything turned out fine.
I just felt hurt that he wasn’t really worried and was more focused on bike riding. it made it feel like I was burden.
Am I being too sensitive?
