To be honest with you, society is practically trying to sterilize men. Back then women were trying to be as tough as men, but today they’re trying to make men as weak as women perceive themselves to be, (edit: when they’re more stronger than they realize).

I stop caring about being a man the moment i lost interest in a relationship with a modern woman. My desire to be a real man is crippled if theres no realistic real woman for me to couple with, within a society that doesnt even value real man in the first place, its like it doesnt make sense anymore, like the enviroment does matter, it feels masochistic to care to be a man in 2022.

You don’t need to serve in the military to achieve those things. I sometimes thing people treat service as though it will somehow automatically make them better people. It does help, of course, but you can also this work on your own.

Also, ignore the vocal minority of women talking and pay attention to womens’ demonstrable preferences. Look at what they do, not what they say. You will notice a disparity, I promise.

Be the best, most ‘masculine’ version of yourself. Sounds like you have your head screwed on. Good luck!

They say they want you to be less masculine but if you are too nice to them they become repulsed by you. To put it simply “We’re fucked!”

I think it’s more that a lot do these traditional masculine stereotypes end up being harmful to men and women alike when they’re applied so rigidly

This solid rigid expectation of toughness, stoicism, protectors, providers, it can all be detrimental to men when it’s not practiced healthily

It massively exaggerates issues in: Mens mental health, the unequal pressure to work longer hours / more stressful and dangerous jobs, toxic self-perceptions making men feel useless of emasculated when they aren’t fitting this unrealistic and outdated stereotype

Not to mention the problems it causes On the legal side: Men not being perceived as victims or shamed for coming out as being victims because it’s not masculine, ‘men are stronger how can you be abused etc’. Links into sentencing bias and especially so sentencing surrounding sexual deviance based crimes (ie women not being perceived as sex offenders / inversely young boys not perceived as victims)

And also, Men being dissuaded or villainised for pursuing ‘non masculine’ careers such as primary school teaching or other forms of childcare

As you can see, it’s clear there are numerous harmful expressions of this type of strict masculinity you’re pedalling, masculinity is merely being reinterpreted in a healthier way, allowing for more flexibility and self-determination, rather than simply channeling all men into this category that doesn’t universally fit the modern man

There are healthy ways to express masculinity, and these traditional interpretations of masculinity can be expressed without issue, but gatekeeping or ridiculing / criticising anyone who doesn’t fit this rigid outdated stereotype isn’t the way to do it.
