I was talking to this person about why feminists don't call out the rampant misandry within their group

How do I respond when a woman says that every standard in society that men are expected to live up to is set by other men and the patriarchy?

In Britain during the First World War white feathers, which symbolized cowardice, were often given to males out of uniform by women to shame them publicly into signing up to join the war.

This is all about accepting made up terms and definitions on the word of the one using them. Of course, those definitions, by their very nature, preclude argument with the premise those definitions are based on and/or being used to propagate.

In truth, and technically speaking, used to think terms like "reverse racism" were redundant (based purely on the dictionary definition) - i.e. it was ALL racism if it was bias on the basis of race/ethnicity.

However, since the SJWs of our time have begun to define racism as a term only applicable when practiced against a race or ethnicity that is not "in power", it sort of opens up the use of the term "reverse racism" - and reverse oppression.

Of course, the SJWs have an answer to that as well - which is that, in their world, individuals are not individuals, but rather identified by whatever particular group they belong to - people of color, male, female, trans, heterosexual, homosexual, etc.

For them, identifying everyone AS some sort of demographic label, rather than an individual allows the SJWs to sew up all their pointless points and wrap them into a nice tidy club with which to bludgeon everyone who disagrees with them.

Because, you see, to an SJW, as long as one woman is oppressed in some part of the world, all WOMEN are OPPRESSED, and also to the SJW, one cannot be oppressed and AT THE SAME TIME be an OPPRESSOR.

Those of us who live in reality, know this basic premise to be horseshit, of course, but the Social Oppression Warriors have infiltrated government (recent laws proposed in the UK anyone?) and have subverted not only the language, but the narrative itself.

The simple reality is that this nonsense from the SJW world should just be resisted.

We can still stand against oppression, against bias on the basis of traits that are out of a person's control, and we can still hate all unfair treatment, without having to turn a blind eye to bias and unfair treatment to one group.

The resistance to SJW culture must happen on the individual level. It is collectivist, identity politics, that not only subverts ACTUAL equality/egalitarian principles (and logical understanding of human nature), but flies DIRECTLY in the face of the entirety of the basis western civilization (which, ironically, due to its generally permissive atmosphere, valuing free thinking and individual expression, has given rise to this collectivist abomination).

Modern western civilization is based on the essential value of the individual. Modern day social justice theory is based on the identification of individuals only as members of a given demographic, and is used to ostracize any free thinking individuals who refuse to toe the line and get into lockstep with whatever dogma is being pushed.

It's an old article. So when it was published the definition for sexism -- on both Google and Merriam-Webster -- was gender neutral. Ironically, the author is arguing not to use the dictionary definition for sexism and is framing sexism against men as reverse [sexism]

If they're using the same argument maybe someone could point out whenever feminism is defined, it's the dictionary definition

Most of that article is an attempt to use half truths and lies to further her blatantly anti-white male agenda. It's so absurd and unappreciative that she tries to cast the creation of the first English dictionary in a negative light because a white man did it. He made the world a better place with his creation but she doesn't like his gender and race.

The ironic part is these same types of people will now point to the dictionary now that so many definitions have been changed/'updated'.
