How is this connected to red pill?

Are you referring to PUAs?

Generally speaking, MRAs are more likely to be sexually conservative, and take issue with promiscuous women. They prefer traditional monogamous relationships.

MGTOW also take issue with promiscuous women who they describe as "riding the c___ carousel".

Red Pill is more MRA and MGTOW, than it is PUA.

MGTOW = "take red pill knowledge, decide relationships with women are too risky in modern society, so distance themselves from any such entanglements" MRA = "take red pill knowledge, use it to advance equality by advocating for the rights of men and boys" PUA= "use red pill knowledge to get laid"

Cassie Jaye's documentary The Red Pill is primarily about MRAs.

PUAs are looked down upon by many MRAs and MGTOW.

It continues to trouble me how much this subreddit conflates the 3 movements by calling it all "red pill".

This sub conflates them because the followers conflate them too. Lots of active self-proclaimed Red Pillers don't even fully understand it because the coaches are intermixing them as well. Red Pill was never about half the shit I experienced being around Red Pillers. The sheer amount of lying I've encountered when the original handbook specifically said to not lie is a perfect shining example. It's not just this sub, I promise.

Yeah, I don't like any of the newer content creators I've seen.

As far as I'm concerned, Karen Straughan is the standard-bearer and a thought leader for MRAs, Diana Davison and Sandman are the two opposite sides of MGTOW thought, and Roosh V is the poster child for PUAs. Clearly I haven't been staying up on all the new people.

I wouldn't call any of them coaches, but PUAs would be similar to dating coaches.

Yeah, I don't like any of the newer content creators I've seen.

Same. Some are clearly just channeling their own disorders in their content and calling it Red Pill when it's not.

Roosh V is the poster child for PUAs

Oh God, I haven't heard that name in forever. Eww.

Red Pill talks about spinning plates, aka fucking multiple women at the same time. They talk about rejecting LTRs and marriage in favor of casual sex. So yes this is all about Red Pill culture.

[–]Extension_Ad_4391 points 3 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

PUAs talk about that pretty much exclusively.

MGTOW have a wide range of views. Some have casual sex. Some use the services of sex workers. Some abstain from sex. Some hire women to be surrogate mothers so they can have children without any relationship with women. Some of those use in vitro fertilization to avoid any possibility of a false accusation.

MRAs have a strong trend towards being what you might call tradcons. Many of them became MRAs after being screwed over in family court. Those men are victims and as such, you can't blame them for how they deal with their trauma.

It is misleading and disingenuous to attribute what you have to "Red Pill" as some kind of monolith. I don't blame you for that though, as clearly there are many people who do the same thing, and you had no reason to distrust them.

Instead of conflating everyone that has association with red pill thinking, why not seek an understanding of the nuance so that you can communicate more effectively with any men that are heading down the rabbit hole into the realm of PUAs, or even MGTOW if you still feel strongly about them after learning more, though I don't know why you would.

I hope you wouldn't have a problem with the MRAs that advocate for the rights of men and boys. Males Homo sapiens are humans too, after all.

If you want to see what MRAs are truly concerned about, watch The Red Pill by formerly feminist filmmaker Cassie Jaye. Or watch Karen Straughan's videos on YouTube. And Janice Fiamengo, she's great. But I think YouTube took down her videos for some absurd reason.

Or how about you see what long time feminist Camille Paglia has to say. She's a feminist and an MRA. Don't forget, Christina Hoff Sommers.

Sommers and Fiamengo were, or perhaps still are, professors. Paglia, I'm sure she still is.

Those women are the most important men's rights activists in my opinion.

While you're at it, check out what Erin Pizzey has to say. She founded the first battered women's shelter in the UK, maybe the world. I wouldn't call her an MRA, but she's been crucified by feminists for decades and now lifted up by MRAs. To villianize and ignore Pizzey as many feminists have done, I think is downright reckless. Ignoring her is essentially the same thing as ignoring important solutions to domestic violence, for ideological reasons.

If you point me to ignorant "Red Pill" content creators that represent MRA as being indistinguishable from PUA, I will go there and tell them how wrong and harmful they are.

ROTFLMAO show me one redpiller that doesn't talk about spinning plates, FWB and casual sex for God's sake.

And my beef with MRAs is that they're just another "my gender, right or wrong" movement just like feminism.

I just told you of several.

Here's Karen Straughan https://youtu.be/C-m98xmCng0

If she doesn't count to you, you're going to need to do a better job of defining "redpilller".

[–]RatDontPanic[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

ROTFLMAO you think Karen Straughan is a REDPILLER?

Man you're deluded af. You trying to kill me with laughter or something?

[–]Extension_Ad_439 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

See, you're going to need to do a better job of defining "redpiller"

"Redpiller" means someone that has "taken the red pill".

Karen is one of the most important and influential men's rights activists. She is a thought leader in the areas of anti-feminism and pro-men's rights. She is literally the origin of many red pill ideas.

The fact that you think she doesn't count as a "redpiller" demonstrates how useless that term is when using it as you do.

She is the definition of a "red piller"

Noun red piller (plural red pillers)

(Internet slang) One who believes that society is gynocentric.

Noun gynocentrism (uncountable)

An ideological focus on females, and issues affecting them, possibly to the detriment of non-females. Antonyms androcentrism Derived terms gynocentric

See, you're going to need to do a better job of defining "redpiller"

I've defined the term perfectly. Honey Badger is a MRA woman, she doesn't talk at all about dread game, plate spinning or FWB like Red Pillers do. She especially doesn't use the red pill slogan "she's never yours, it's only your turn" or any of that.

Everything you said was factually wrong. Now get lost with your childish trolling. Here, let me help you.
