Im not conservative. I don’t care if they have gender dysphoria or not. I believe in science. The science shows gender transitioning isn’t even an effective way of treating gender dysphoria and in fact people do grow out of gender dysphoria.

Wait, what science is that?

I don’t call them women because it goes against biology. Transgenderism is a social construct, I’m not feeding that bs. Gender dysphoria on the other hand is a real and treatable mental illness but gender transitioning isn’t the right treatment. there are talk therapies that are more effective as well as medications. I’d also argue that with the rise of psychedelics as more studies are done that may be an even more effective treatment. There’s already studies on Ketamine that shows it can do wonders for your self image.

FFS what a petty take. And this is DEFINITELY the take that right wingers have about the issue. Should have known I'd run into someone with a take as wild as the feminists but in the opposite direction.

My experience has been the vast majority of trans people I've met in real life have been pretty chill. I have no issue calling people whatever name they introduce themselves as. We tend to get along fine with the understanding that most people are just trying to live their lives.

Oddly enough, I've actually had more negative interactions regarding trans people with cis gender trans allies than I have with actual trans people.

I've met people who said I was transphobic for not wanting to sleep with someone who had a penis even if they identified as a woman.

I'm fine calling them a woman, again, it doesn't impact me either way, so sure, you're whatever you identify yourself to me as, but in the same way that nobody should be able to dictate what their sexual preferences are, nobody should be able to dictate what mine are either.
