Women embraced equality and accountability since 1970. They get better grades than boys, more are in college and, in their twenties make more than men. The reverse gender pay gap.

It's after 30 they realize that work sucks and maybe being married and staying home would be a better life. They blame it on the kids but day care starts at 3 months now and my wealthy niece puts her kid, as do all the working moms, in daycare at age 6 months.

Times are changing.

As with women marriage is a partnership. And if you both working before marriage and have an understanding that both would continue to work then it's fradulent for one partner to just quit working. And with women working divorce is less contentious as both parties can support themselves. With default 50/50 equal custody getting married becomes viable.

I would leave such a situation. That is my point. In both my marriages when my ex wives wanted to stay home they kept spending and things went south. I really do believe that there is satisfaction from working.

I discussed this with my niece and she, 35, said as soon as her husband makes enough she will quit working. A teacher with a masters, she says she's tired of eighth graders.

Half the UK national health service wants to quit or work part time.

Do we know the proportion of fully educated women masters/phd and co, that are not working ?

Interesting to note. She wants her husband to work more but not for her kids but for herself. Hmm I call this entitlement.

No wonder marriage rates are dropping close to 20 percent and man are starting to becoming happier by being more single.

Accountability. That's a good word and focus on. And it takes out a decent amount of the anger and hatred for even mentioning women not being mature, or treating men (or themselves) right.

Thanks for the video, I'll try to use that word more, hoping it reaches anyone who normal conversations would have hit a wall with.

Accountability. That's a good word and focus on. And it takes out a decent amount of the anger and hatred for even mentioning women not being mature, or treating men (or themselves) right

Since about '14, the year that video was shot, The MRM's primary emphasis has been harping on all the ways women need to change, while displaying very little enthusiasm for discussing what our goals are, and putting forth viable strategies for achieving them. Do we seriously think that continuing to tell women to grow up is going to be any more fruitful than it's been thus far?

[–]mechajutaro 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In that video, he mimics prominent MRAs like Paul Elam and Alison Tieman by asserting that "Society needs to change before we men so much as contemplate getting out from behind our keyboards and taking sociopolitical action out in our neighborhoods and communities, aka. The Place Where Societal Change Really Occurs. Women need to grow up, and become radically different than what they are, and always have been, before we launch political campaigns around subjects like making shared parenting legislation the law of the land, ending a drug war which disproportionately locks up men, and providing greater access to vocational training than currently exists. The latter point(access to vocational training being scare)is depriving several million men of a path towards upward mobility"

This sort of thinking is The Mansophere equivalent to what one hears out of The Woke Left, when they eschew discussing practical troubles, in favor of nattering on endlessly about vague, slippery ideas like systemic racism and emotional labor: "White people need to stop being racist, and men need to stop being sexist, before we so much as entertain the notion of going out into our neighborhoods and knocking on doors, or going into our ghettoes and barrios to help those who are in need to help themselves in some real way"
