women often think they're experts when it comes to emotions and understanding people, but the truth is that its quite hard for a woman to relate to a man, and for a man to relate to a woman, because the way we experience the world, even if the exact same things happen to us, is just too different. well, not just because of gender either, based on individual differences like personal history and personality as well, of course.

an experience that might be devastating for one person, haunting them their entire life, might be a slight annoyance for somebody else. People really need to stop thinking they "know better" how you feel about something. Understanding people is really fucking hard.
