As a man I find all our differences tend to get moved into the topic of sex and dating. I honestly think this is because in that realm women can go to the tried and true shaming tactics ("You're mad you can't get laid", "You hate women" etc.) or just being outright dismissive.

But there are plenty of issues outside of dating where men can take issue with women, that's what I'm curious about. What are our issues with each other outside of dating and sex?

I'll start. There is an immense level of entitlement from women that we care how they feel or feel like we should be obligated to help them at all times. I'll give an example. I work in the financial tech sector, and there is a massive push to get women in to spike some ESG metric and a lot of these women are not qualified. Can't even write proper Joins in SQL, it's ridiculous. I help them when they ask because that's part of what I'm paid to do. But they ALWAYS insist on "Thank you, I was so stressed and it's a new job and..." blah blah blah. I'm not a therapist, if I was interested in women's feelings I would have gone into psychology, I went into tech. I keep a policy with most women that I don't share my feelings and I don't want to hear theirs. All I want is "who, what, when, where, and why". To share your emotions is to presume friendship when I offered none.

This also extends to entitlement to protection. I've told female friends that if I saw a woman getting attacked, I'd keep walking. Just because I'm a man doesn't mean I'm immune to knives and bullets. But the women always get disgusted that you won't get a life-altering injury for them. I also tell them stories I've heard about guys dying when they try to break up domestic disputes and the woman lying to protect her abusive boyfriend.

Basically it boils down to women not respecting my perspective on life. Me sharing my emotions means I've verified that that person cares about me, and that could take years to secure. So you sharing your emotions with me when I don't even remember your name is a violation of my boundaries. I'm not pushing my emotions or expecting anything out of you, don't expect it out of me.

I'll listen to the emotions and would physically protect the few women I care about, but they've earned that by engaging in our relationship in a mutually beneficial manner so they've proven their worth. Most women haven't and just expect you to take a knife for them because you're a man.

Anyways, what are your complaints about the opposite sex that have nothing to do with dating or body counts or any of the stuff that has a billion posts already?
