TIL of the “4B Movement” in South Korea. It is “a radical feminist movement that pledges to renounce marriage, raising children, dating and sex” and is praised by media. Yet MGTOW continues to be demonized as a group of dangerous sexist men.

No male school shooter would ever have the header image of an article about how he shot up his school be lead by such an innocently happy photo of him with his dog in a field of fallen leaves.

When he was 24 years old, he was accused of raping three women, a crime he says he never had anything to do with. Today, he was declared a wrongfully imprisoned person by the state of Ohio.

The evidence at trial showed that the detective created an unfair lineup of potential suspects, claimed a witness had made an identification when they had not, destroyed evidence showing Gillispie was out of town camping in Kentucky when two of the crimes occurred and altered witness’s audio recordings.

Gillispie was released in 2011 thanks to the Ohio Innocence Project.

Were the false accusator and the detective charged?

Officer was not charged with a crime

Title of this article is in reference to another case, Gillespie is mentioned further down and it states the officer who hid exculpatory evidence was never investigated by a neutral party (meaning he was probably only investigated by his fellow officers). https://www.huffpost.com/entry/for-the-first-time-ever-a_b_4221000

I don’t believe the accusers were charged, in the article Gillespie sounds sympathetic to them, but I can’t find anything to clarify if their accusations were just mistaken or if they were malicious.

I would want to murder those guys for locking me up in prison for 20 years. This guy has the patience of a saint.

Why am I guessing no? You can’t hurt the feelings of accusers when they’re wrong. As far as the cop, do you not back the blue, even if they use despicable tactics to get results. I think the cop and the false accusers should at least be charged with perjury and be civilly liable.

The Innocence Project is amazing.

Now think the people payed for all the man hours getting him locked up, paying for him being locked up and then paying 45mil (obviously rightfully) after he got out. Goverment keeps fucking up at our expense.

the people paid for all

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Beep, boop, I'm a bot

Wow, this case is particularly egregious as far as wrongful convictions are concerned. The innocent man had an alibi for 2 of the 3 rapes, but the law enforcement officer investigating the case deliberately destroyed that evidence. What kind of evil psychopath do you have to be to knowingly frame an innocent man? That is a terrifying revelation to all men, although probably not so uncommon as we would hope unfortunately. Jobs in law enforcement do tend to attract – and create – some of the worst of the worst.

Something tells me that detective will probably get a promotion after this... 👏👏👏👏
