Society is a big giant feedback loop. There is no real start, and there is no real end.

Because everything is connected, anything can be traced back to any point. In the case of feminism, it gets traced back to men. Some people here make the inverse fallacy. I suggest to zoom out a bit, to the process itself.

In evolution, males are genetic culling material and females are the embodiment of natural selection. It is a process of death and reproductive gate-keeping. Evolution is applied death.

No sentient being was ever meant to be happy with such disposability. Especially not ones as power hungry as humans. So many males are given stoicism to face the role of social utility.

I don't think women have this skill yet. I think they're facing the existential reality of a process that they've been raised to ignore. Females are supposed to value their life more. They are supposed to view partners critically, without remorse. The measure of a functional society is the comfort of its women. But that comfort comes at the cost of infantalizing. Many women want to be treated as equals, they want the respect; but then they refuse to recognize the asymmetric amount of suffering that males are designed to burden.

The cognitive dissonance of seeing how much suffering their judgments have created is too much. The dissonance of recognizing that the working world was built around people who were expected to accept themselves as disposable -- to see the male experience for what it is -- this is also too much.

Rather, feminists choose to follow the feedback loop until it lands on men. A clean, easy explanation. Facing the grim reality of what evolution really is, what their role really is, and what men have really been facing... it's just too much.
