this has to change. my best friend was so physically abused by his father when he was a child that he barely has any memories of his childhood now due to all the trauma. there's no shame in being a victim of abuse, lads.

Whether or not its true I can't confirm but I've read alot of articles where male victims of DV talk about experiencing domestic abuse from women and alot of them said when they called a DV helpline they were actually told they were just calling because they were abusing and trying to cover it up. And also alot of them were mocked and gaslighted they were told things like " I think you're overreacting to the situation" if that's the case no wonder they're afraid to come forward.
