War is the exploitation of men for the profit of the men and women in the powerful classes. And it has been for thousands of years.

Male genital mutilation is the control of male sexuality through outdated and maladaptive ideals of physical beauty and modesty. And it has been for thousands of years.

Courts today relegate fathers to financial providers while downplaying the importance of father-child emotional bonds. This sexist viewpoint has existed and has impacted both laws and social mores for thousands of years, even before the current batch of sexist custody laws came about.

Homelessness has always plagued men more than women. Dangerous jobs have always been seen as jobs for men. Sinking ships have always favored the evacuation of women before men because the lives of men have always been worth less than the lives of women. Men have always been the primary victims of random acts of violence. etc. etc. Men's issues have existed for a long LONG time.

Long before social media, long before feminism, long before tradcons. The oppression of men has been happening for thousands of years. Realizing this has changed my views of what is the cause of men's issues: that it's deeply imbedded sexist views in society, not any of the recent man-hating trends (those are just symptoms, not causes).
