Domestic violence doesn't have to be done by people who live together. It's more a term for violence between people in an intimate or family relationship.

Roiland's case is very different from Depp's case, in that there is physical evidence that has been revealed to the public of bodily harm done by him to the victim. There was no such evidence in Depp's case of him doing harm to Heard. As the evidence stands now, I'm not going to take his side.

Let's seriously not compare these things

Numerous chatlogs from numerous women have been posted that show Roiland overtly engaging in grooming behavior with under 18 girls. That's fucked. Objectively. And apparently he had a reputation around Hollywood like a dorkier Weinsrein so this is clearly Adult Swim cutting ties before the really bad stuff comes out.

Putting these two things in the same camp is exactly what the people defending Heard likely want, to be honest
