As a male I would date up too if I could. So would any other guy. Women arent alone with being hypergamous per sé, but unlike men they can actually do it. Long term maybe not always, but short term flings for sure.

Hypergamy isn't necessarily just money or power it's just status relative to the environment you're in, which can be anything

It's hypogamy that's the case, the majority of women just date down to exclude the meek people.
