Most men who use a woman just for sex are pretty upfront about it. If he rarely contacts you for any reason but sex, hasn't invited you to spend time with friends or family, doesn't talk about the future (even just plans for next week), then you're just a good time. A man who just wants to get laid doesn't want to deal with drama and tears. He's going to make his intentions pretty clear. If a woman is choosing to see something there that isn't, it's kind of on her.

This doesn't mean that a man who does text or spend time with you wants something serious. That could easily be a friends with benefits situation. How to avoid it is set your expectations from the very beginning, you are looking for something serious. So many women think this is going to scare them off so they need to be super chill and casual but I have always found that backfires. Of course you don’t want to put on a ton of pressure but I always make sure they knew what I was looking for from the beginning. This way they can exit if they’re not interested and I don’t waste my time.

Then make sure this is reflected in your actions meaning no sex on the first date and actually go out on dates. Every man I had that was serious about me made sure to take me out. Of course you spend nights at home in a relationship but if every time you see this person is at someone’s house, late at night, and sex is always involved then you are likely a plate.

A man that wants more from you will want to spend time with you and talk to you when it’s not just sex related.
