EDIT MY WIFE DECIDED TO LEAVE ME TODAY. JUST HOURS AGO.

Good evening, gents. Young man here to share my story and look for some advice.

TL;DR Trying not to be emasculate by wife, isn't working. How do you express your emotions in a healthy way that allows you to really vent AND be manly?

I've been in a committed relationship for two years and it has taken those same two years to get in touch with my innate masculinity. It has been a long hard road to even work up to creating the foundation for the man I want to become. I had a lot more misandry in me than I thought and now, unfortunately, I seem to be becoming bitter.

My wife (yes, I'm married at 24) is on her own path towards femininity. I have given her so much space. We have both worked while the other rested and it is just now (as I work and she stays home) that I'm truly beginning to feel like a man and act like one.

So what does this have to do with manhood and performance? For those entire two years my wife has criticized my lack of manliness in a bid to make me more tough. So now I know what it feels like to be emasculated by a woman and no matter how much I tell myself it is my own feelings about my masculinity that makes me feel good... hearing one way or another every other day about how I'm not man enough for her really takes a toll.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to manage my emotions in a mature way. I'm making the little boy inside grow into a man by willpower alone... except.. when are we ever really supposed to feel? When can we feel wildly, without a jab at our manliness coming up?

Anyone else with a similar situation or advice would be much appreciated. I feel trapped. On one hand I'm supposed to be "the rock" (http://www.artofmanliness.com/2009/09/27/being-the-rock/).. except how do you do that and keep your sanity when you have no healthy way to express your emotions? All I do is work, exercise, or read (I live in a cold boring place).
