I've always felt, and still do, that during the first two trimesters of pregancy, a fetus is not a living entity separate from the female. I believe that destroying the fetus during this time would be no different to a woman electively cutting out any other part of her body.

However, due to the fact that within those two trimesters, the father of the fetus is completely dependent on the woman in deciding his future, I feel that the only way to counteract this blatant and disgusting discrimination against men, is to oppose abortion all together.

My state has recently elected a Conservative Government, very much influenced by the Catholic Church. Even though I am an Athiest, and disagree with probably most of what the Catholic Church teaches, I will be helping the Catholic Church fight against abortion.

I am a little conflicted by this personal decision, but I think this is the right thing to do.
