Ever play squash with a new partner? Someone you barely know, have never seen play, and have never played with before? Ever play with someone you've been playing with on a regular basis for years?

In the former case, it will be awkward and not necessarily fun. In the latter case, the two players are not only intellectually familiar with the other's style and habits but they will have a complimentary muscle memory. The game will be enjoyable. It will be fluid.

Not only that, but in the latter case, you tend to be aware of whether or not the partner will have STDs or get pregnant and crazy. Not so much the former.

I've never played squash.

Isn't insanity doing the same thing and expecting different results? If the first time sucked why do it again? I don't know about you but if I bite into a piece of tinfoil and it hurts I don't eat tinfoil anymore.
