Basically:

The alleged attack reportedly occurred about 10:30 a.m. in his home. He beat her, pulled her hair and threatened to kill her despite multiple pleas from the victim, ^{the court documents said.}

She called 911 when he left the room, ^{prosecutors said}, and commented to investigators that when police rang the doorbell she was "saved by the bell."

Always making sure that the sentence first sounds like a proven fact before slipping in that secondary part to make sure the perception of a wife-beate is ingrained first into the brain of the reader.

I support his innocence until proven guilty, but it seems like there was some convincing evidence here. If they do indeed have the video they claim (and it shows what they claim it shows), then the man is guilty and deserves punishment for his actions.

They used alleged or allegedly 4 times. It's an active court case. The woman obviously will have injuries. Sometimes, there's little question of fact. That report seems within the bounds of reason.

Does she have injuries that prove this? After such a beating I would certainly expect her to.
