Anyway, in a frame that consistently comes down to gender itself being oppressive to women, and all solutions to gendered problems - including men's problems -then are focused on women. You see this everywhere when discussing men's issues with feminists, "Oh but we're going to solve that! It'll fix itself once women are no longer being treated as sex objects!". Not only is it naive to think that would happen if the basis were true, but since gender itself isn't oppressive to women it is catastrophically ignorant.

First of all I don’t like and don’t really understand what the man in the video is trying to say about woman in the workforce? Woman aren't already involved? Aren't doing something (??) correctly? But anyway I'll ignore that piece since you made your own comment

I agree with the woman's statement that it is important for everyone to be involved in the feminist movement and that when they do that they approach it from both the woman's POV and a neutral stance to not be bias. What you go on to say is that feminism is not/will not deal with men's rights issues. Which makes sense? It's a movement for woman's rights why would it deal with men's rights? This is not to say that men's rights don't need protecting or that they aren't violated that much is clearly true but since feminism is specifically dealing with woman it wouldn't deal with men's rights just by definition. You wouldn't really expect a black-rights group to be advocating for Hispanic rights would you? Sure they would consider it important since equality is the goal for all these groups but the specific group is specifically for blacks and their rights.

This may just be me reading into your statement wrong though: "We cannot expect feminism to deal with men's issues" when really instead of feminism you just mean women in general. Obviously women should be involved in men's issues just as men should be with woman issues and straight people should be involved in lgbt issues. I don't understand your argument. Feminism is an equality rights movement by definition but specifically for women. You can't base feminism off of the loud, obnoxious ones claiming to be feminists just as you can't judge Christianity off of all it's loud obnoxious followers.
