Islamic law decrees Muslim husbands must provide financial maintenance to their wives whilst their wives are entitled to keep their own wages to themselves.

Feminists will argue Islam oppresses women. Right wingers will argue Islam oppresses women. Muslim apologists will argue Islam treats women like princesses - but will any of them debate me on whether Islam oppresses men?

Muslim apologist Zara Faris (@zarafaris) agreed in a tweet to debate me, but now is getting cold feet.

Left wing feminist Laurie Penny (@Pennyred) has refused to debate.

UK journalist and famous convert to Islam, Yvonne Ridley (@YvonneRidley) has acknowledged in tweets that Muslim men have to provide, but does not want to stand up to defend this female privilege in a debate.

I have invited Tommy Robinson to the debate (@TRobinsonNewEra). No response so far. Tommy always frames his criticism of Islam in terms of how unfair it is on women, with never a word on men.

I've also invited critic of Islam, Pat Condell to the debate (@PatCondell) - like Tommy, and the victim-feminists, Pat also criticizes Islam from an exclusively victim-female perspective - he has not replied either.

Islam is better than Feminism in many ways. Financial abuse is certainly present in both with men doing most of the hard work, but there are at least things in place to incentivize investment in women. One such thing for example is the criminalization of adultery in most Muslim countries. When it comes to financial abuse of men really the only difference between Islam and Feminism is less bureaucracy. In Islam you cut out the middle man and just have a lot of women in your house. With Feminism you have big government and get taxed to fund welfare arrangements mostly women will be provided, but a lot of it ends up in between and you don't get anything in return from the women.
