here's my respond to this http://www.news.com.au/technology/un-women-ads-show-sexism-behind-google-searches/story-e6frfro0-1226743486637 which I posted my personal facebook and I wish to share my opinions. All critisisms are welcomed.

Here's a list of reasons why this campaign is stupid:

1) Has anyone searched anyone of these up. None of link to a "SCREW WOMEN!!! MEN = GREATEST!!!". A lot of them are opinion articles which are against the topic, forums or joke article. Anything to do with a religion is because in the bible there are a few un-friendly female quotes and then it's an argument post about this. And if there isn't any that meet that requirements the author is usually crazy.

2) Search men instead and you see they don't have rainbows and sunshine either. Yes they might not have to the same extremes but when we live in a world were certain countries have what we believe have oppressed women well of course were going to have some searches which talk about thise places and spark decusion on forums and such. You also have the insane people which think that.

3) IT'S A FRICKING SEARCH ENGINE DO YOU EXPECT IT TO KNOW WHAT OFFENDS PEOPLE. If google makes a search engine that is self aware of it's self the yes we can yell at the engine. For know it will place what it thinks it want you to see.

In all I don't see how this is global opression. So what if the search shows women shouldn't/cannot/can't blank and it makes some people sad. Is it going to destroy our world if we leave it up and make everyone treat women like shit. By drawing attention you make it a bigger problem as now people realise it exists (oh the irony). I didn't know this existed until now so is it some secret plan by google to oppress women until the end of time which has now come to light or is it some mistake within the search engine.

I don't want to use this but: Isn't there some skinny african kids that they could be campaigning for instead of worrying about the hurt feelings of a couple of people.

EDIT 2: Something I noticed while reading the article "The adverts show the results of genuine searches, highlighting popular opinions across the world wide web.” Now if we go back to point one and search look at the links we can see that a lot of them are opposed to the views. I'll just leave it here.
