I think this is a simplistic analysis as the nature of the market is different for men. E.g David beckam probably earns more that the listed top male model for his advertising photos etc. but these are termed endorsements and he's categorised as a sports star and not a model. Male sports stars possibly intrude further into the "modelling" domain and the wages of strict male models than female sports stars do.

Secondly, meh...., market forces are at work here, essentially this is about productivity and the women models are viewed as more "productive" than the men.

I don't have an issue with the wage gap in either direction so long as neither gender is denied equal opportunity to educate/train or apply for a field and as long as the law prevents wage discrimination for precisely the same circumstances...

Lets not take up our version of the 77c claptrap ..

I've always wanted to know the stats for this. I don't think it's a problem though, as the article says men bring in less money, thus they get paid less. makes perfect sense
