You have to understand that the Department of Educations Office of Civil Rights sent a letter out to all schools receiving title IX funding instructing them to lower the standard of evidence for such proceedings from "clear and convincing" to a "preponderance of evidence" meaning that they only need to be 59.001% convinced that he committed the crime. He will go in front of a panel of amateur student sleuths who have been given instructions to believe the accuser because according to those that indoctrinate them women never lie about such things.

He has the right to talk to an attorney in Massachusetts.

We can't tell you what rights he has.

We can tell you that it sounds pretty awful, and that this is becoming more and more of a problem in American Colleges.

One word of caution for you, though. Just like some women lie about being sexually assaulted, some men lie about being innocent. It's entirely possible that he did abuse her, and he's telling you it was her "psycho-ass friends" who made the complaint so that you stay his friend.

Ultimately, he needs to talk to a lawyer and he needs to talk to the school. If he's innocent, he needs to cooperate fully and clear his name. It's not fair to be falsely accused of something like this - but pragmatically you have prove your innocence. Again, it's not fair, but that's what he has to do.

Get a tape recorder, secretly record his ex claiming that it didn't happen. Or go a step further and do what Brian Banks did: Hire a P.I. to secretly record it. If you get her on tape admitting it never happened, that's pretty much case closed.

Otherwise, unfortunately feminists got the SAVE act passed, which takes away his right to a presumption of innocence. If a J-Board at the school finds that it is >50% likely she is telling the truth, the school is required by federal law to expel him. So, he needs to lawyer up and figure out a way to prove his innocence.

One thing to consider: What if there was some rough sex? What if she wanted rough? But later used it against him? What if she told her friends about it? Women are catty, they DON'T think rationally in groups, they excuse all responsibility for their false actions that hurt men, because Feminism.
