While most people here will instantly agree with you - I'd like to see what you wrote. I've found that often people claim they were being reasonable and civil when in reality they aren't.

That being said, I've also seen some pretty benign shit get people condemned.

Here is what got me kicked out

First I wrote this "My understanding was that the warning shot was head high and she left and went to her car, got the gun and came back. Never calling 911 and not leaving in her car which she could have done. The sentence seems excessive but the juries decision was correct. Its not "stand your ground" when you leave to retrieve a gun from your car. This is in no way defending the actions of the guy but she left, got a gun and came back. Why is she firing a warning shot and how is it standing her ground. Then after there were some bad responses and I wrote this "She could have gone out the back door? She returned to the house months after which violated her bail conditions. If I was in fear for my life I would have driven through the garage door if I hadn't already left through the back door. She had been obstructed trying to leave the bathroom...then she had multiple chances to get away and instead she went and got a gun and came back and fired at someone head high...whether it was a warning shot or not is debatable."

Then this "Didn't the child/children run from her with the father after the shot was fired? She returned to the house, violating her bail, months later. Doesn't seem like this is how it is being portrayed by those on the "free marissa" side. I'm just confused as to why someone claims "stand your ground" when they were obviously not standing their ground. If the defense is that they were protecting children that is fine. Lets examine that evidence, from what I've seen that isn't going to do much for her either."

Then this "well Florida has specific rules for committing a crime with a firearm. I don't agree with them but they are what they are. I don't understand how you know it was a warning shot? Who can leave but doesn't, gets a gun, and then comes back to fire warning shots? Nobody...so she was attempting to murder him with a handgun. Under FLA law that can get you 20."

Then received this "you have been banned from posting to /r/feminisms: Things of interest to feminist-ish people, male, female, and more."
