I get giddy whenever I see posters like this put up. I get even more giddy when I see it making news outside MRA circles.

I expect they probably won't change a whole lot of minds, I just love to see it starting a dialogue. I guess that's all I can really hope for, huh? At least those against these posters are really aggressive and angry. Hopefully that brings to light to the general public just what the mentality of academic feminism is.

“All these guys are doing is shedding light on the importance of talking about violence against women and that, that’s still an issue in our community,” he said.

They just don't get it, do they? They're completely incapable of understanding that rape is not exclusively caused by men and is not exclusively perpetrated against women. It's like a psychological blind spot, or something. They hear, but they don't listen.

Gotells response,"personal attacks are no way to engage in conversations." But making slurs against men is? Sorry professor. Its not a personal attack if its true. And bigotry is not ok just because its not personal.

I've spent more than a decade criticizing feminism, and this "argument" is still so odd to me.

Yes! Some women lie about sexual assault! Turns out women aren't angels! You'd think this would be obvious to everyone.

EDIT: OK, this is a bit stupid:

“We want feminism to fall into the same disrepute as Nazism or KKK, that sort of thing,” he said.

I'm sorry, but that makes us look like lunatics. It's not the press we really want, but at least it's press I guess.

I first read it this morning, and there were 4 comments on the article. 3 of them criticised the author for being extremely biased and trying to belittle the MRM with his rhetoric in the article. They called him out on his feminist bs talking points. The other comment was the usual reaction; similar to the campaign in Edmonton. It expressed shock, disbelief, and anger at the mere suggestion that women who were raped were "lairs" and all that "victim-blaming" crap. One of the 3 commenters set the 1 dissenter in his/her place, and received 8 upvotes by the time I was reading the article. You will notice that near the top of the page, it says it was "updated" today at 1:25 pm. The comment section has been removed. Censorship.

In July, Men’s Rights Edmonton (MR-E) made headlines across the country with a ‘Don’t be that Girl’ poster campaign mirroring the Edmonton Police’s ‘Don’t be that Guy’ campaign.

At least the writer didn't use the word 'parody' (since it would imply an attempt at humour [on the part of those who created the posters]).
