I mean it definitely seems kind of childish, but on the other hand, imagine it without the middle man:

Woman goes to bar, gets 26 Pounds worth of drinks, then tries to leave without paying. The bartender takes her phone and says he'll hold it until she pays up.

Seems pretty reasonable.

This is a bit of a silly story. If the woman didn't have money with her, what did he expect her to do to pay him back?

And 54 quid for 2 rounds of drinks? That's 13.5/drink. Ludicrous.
