I don't believe there is a law which forbids "media" from exposing the full name and image of rape victims, but I understand that there is an unspoken rule to do so. Is there a different standard when applied to current inmates?

I know that rape shield laws are designed to prohibit probing into the sexual history of a victim and or conceal their identity, but the article seems to use the victims past criminal history and tattoos to impune his character as being less than innocent or perhaps deserving of his sexual mistreatment/ rape.

Don't read past the first comment by Jeff Jacobs. They're... fairly typical for a story about male rape.
