It’s been a rough week for women in comics.

Every week seems to be a rough week for women everywhere. How many men died at work this week?

First, Wonder Woman was (once again) relegated to the back burner, while a TV series for the Flash is being fast-tracked in her place.

Gee. That isn't possibly because demographics informed producers that a Wonder Woman series wouldn't do as well as they'd hoped while a Flash series would? Nah. People who make television shows will make ANY FUCKING SHOW THAT WILL MAKE THEM AD DOLLARS. That is how television works. If women want more female protagonist comic/sci-fi/fantasy shows then they should get in the fucking game and start spending their time and money on the relevant fucking industries. Not as casuals but as obsessives. That is how you build a fucking market. Fucking goddamn it grow the fuck up.

Oh snap. You're right. Turns out that 95% of people who spend their money on the product are women and the other 95% are black. Oh wait. No they aren't. The majority of the people who spend money in those markets are white and male. Get in the fucking game if you want it to change.

How the fuck are you idiots missing this? I personally think that murder is worse than rape, but even so Millar is describing the act as something that a horrible person does. If he thought it was good, it would be something that everyone did, including heroes, casually just for the fun of it with no repercussions at all. Fuck. God fucking damn it.

The only reason that anything happens in any story at all AT ALL is to motivate the protagonist. If it doesn't somehow motivate the protagonist, it is useless to the story. You dumb fucking cunt.

TIL that Gail Simone is a feminist asshole. These people have to get their hands on everything in order to carry out their evil agenda. As for the audience for comics, who do you think reads Simone's work? That's right, it's mostly males. The companies try, but western women do not want to buy comics. Fucked if i know why. Grim stuff like Batwoman, mostly male audience. Cute stuff like Palmmiotti and Conner's Power Girl, mostly male audience. Shit, i'm willing to bet that even Strangers in Paradise and Rachel Rising have a mostly male demographic.

A political power grab, that's all this is, and it is being done precisely because the feminists know the audience is primarily young men -- "Quick, fill their heads with shit before they're old enough to know better." That's what this is about.

I think its absolutely completely ridiculous that people are getting super upset over a character being raped, but they don't even blink or bat an eye to a character that gets decapitated or something similar.

Why is rape some holy subject that should never be touched, but feel free to kill and mutilate any character you want. I also like how they try to paint the picture that rape is a woman issue only. This article is so mysogynistic its ridiculous.
