I'm posting here because I just heard something on the radio I thought you guys would find funny. I happened to be listening to NPR radio on my way to get a 6 pack. They were talking about the brothers Grimm fairy tales because they were recently re translated and republished. A woman called in to the program to complain about how the stories were msyoginistic. She said something like "Why does sleeping beauty need a man to wake her up". She went on to point out the other female characters in negative situations in the fairy tales and suggested we have a new version of the stories for the 21st century.
