IANAL but just a few of the things that I have read on here.

Make sure that you give plenty of time to consider and sign the prenup before the wedding (6 months +). Make sure you are both represented by independent council so both of you have input under advice. Do not push for it to be signed or add any conditions on it being signed. Ultimately, have a friendly Judge that won't though it out without a second thought.

My dad's a family lawyer (Canada). His advice is to not get it done in a hurry. If a prenup is important, get it done early.
