Father weeping when his son scores his first goal. My brother is unable to see his son because his ex lies to the family court judge to suspend visitation rights and his son his athletic, so this gif made me sad. My brother has never seen his son play, nor seen him in five years

Who is the woman next to him? It is pretty odd how she completely ignores him.

That is heartbreaking.

See how he's hiding that pain?

Male gender role, right there. Suck it up so no one else is burdened by your emotion.

Male stoicism is a good thing for the most part. If we all constantly fell to pieces there'd do be no one to steer the ship. The center wouldn't hold, as it were. But yes, I do acknowledge that "society" (especially women) need to be much more tolerant of males showing vulnerability.

One of my mom's best friends was a history teacher at on all girl's private school. Hardcore feminist. My mom relayed that this woman didn't like the tennis player Roger Federer because he broke down after losing a match. It's a perfect example of how feminists talk out of both sides of their mouths. One day it's "cry more!" then the next it's "stop crying you fucking pussy!"

A guy on another thread noted that "My favorite thing about this is that he was a former player and he was the enforcer/tough guy."

Guy in op is a perfect example of how men operate. They aren't actually emotionless robots as so many shallow women assume (or even desire). It's just that they don't break down over trivialities, and save the tears for moments of true joy and sorrow.

To be fair to women, they actually evolved different tear ducts, so their tears flow much more readily.

Frankly, no-one else is burdened by his emotions, despite how much he tries to share it.
