Most medical associations worldwide tend to say infant circumcision is unnecessary. Some have supported banning the practice in children.

However, why do these countries bow to the North American view when it comes to the WHO? WHO sings circumcision's praises as beneficial.

Is North America really in charge of the WHO for some reason? Or are these other medical associations supporting circumcision for the WHO but not recommending it for their own countries?
