Why not just call them liars?

It's called fraud, obtaining funds by deception, we have laws. No, there isn't much law around "fantasists", but they are liars and fraudsters - no crime was committed, the compensation was for trauma they never had, therefore they should pay it back, no ifs buts or maybes

77k Pounds. Fucking hell. Imagine this money being used to help actual victims of rape or child abuse. Or for pedophiles, for projects and therapy to help them control their urges.

But no, those greedy, fucking bastards got it instead. And now they're not even getting any real punishment. Imho they should pay it all back. With interest.

I love how it took a man making a false claim for this to hit the news. This compensation policy was always suspect, I've been saying it for years. It brings into question all the historical allegations against celebrities that emerged right after its inception.

How anyone thought this was a good idea is beyond me. It's like nobody realised people will act dishonestly for money.

Under the rules a victim can apply for compensation even if the perpetrator has not been identified or prosecuted.
