So, aside from the fact these "analyses" ignore pretty much all the context in these movies (i.e. the women in question have a history with Ford in all of them, FFS the first Indy one is literally the last scene of the movie)...

...does anyone notice that there's only one scene shown in this video in which ACTUAL assault happens? I.e. someone hits someone else? Guess who does it to who? Funny it isn't even mentioned, huh? Because women hitting men is also normalised by films, and has been even since early Hollywood. Wonder if we're getting an SJW video essay about that anytime soon...

Help me understand this....

An actor plays a character. An actor, in a movie or a play or a TV show or a whatever.... really has no choice in what they say or decide to do within context of the movies.

Anthony Hopkins the man does not endorse cannabilism, I am pretty sure the guy sees serial killers as awful human beings. But when he plays Hannibal Lecture - it is just a character. Sure, the actor Anthony Hopkins does bring something to the character, but the actions and words are largely out of his control.

To say 'Harrison Ford did these things in his movies!' isn't really being fair. It is the writers and the Director that control what this idiot is having a problem with.

I mean.... might as well blame the actress for putting up and falling for Harrison Ford.

That's a good point. All these movies have women that have fallen for the guy.... don't they bear any responsibility for there actions? Or are they just stupid characters doing what the stupid writers are telling them to do?

Even then, Ford's characters were meant to be tongue in check; and the women in those movies were mostly powerful in their own right.

I would like to focus on this one scene.

And that is where he lost me. When you take something out of context, it is usually because your argument falls apart if you don't.

I don't mean to say he does not have a point to make. But in this case (Star Wars) he is simply wrong.

biology doesn't follow our rationalizations and our bureaucratizations, it may be controversial to say it but women reject what they want with the expectation that they'll get it anyway. I've had to face the irrational ire of so many women after taking their no for an answer when they wanted me to take it for a yes.
