Of the 1,628 exonerations since 1989 only 148 have been women. heavy-boots June 16, 2018 6 upvotes /r/MensRights I was surfing The Innocence project site after watching a documentary on wrongful conviction and happened upon this. Women make up approximately 7% of the prison population and represent approximately 9% of exonerations. Am I missing something? Could not find a good source on breakdown of convictions by gender which I believe would be a better metric as the disparity in sentencing would tend to inflate male prison populations. https://www.innocenceproject.org/two-lawyers-investigate-the-gender-disparity-in-exonerations-for-many-women-no-crime-ever-occurred/
