I was surfing The Innocence project site after watching a documentary on wrongful conviction and happened upon this. Women make up approximately 7% of the prison population and represent approximately 9% of exonerations. Am I missing something?

Could not find a good source on breakdown of convictions by gender which I believe would be a better metric as the disparity in sentencing would tend to inflate male prison populations.
