Daniel Andrews MP: 'Women don't need to change, men do'

Premier Daniel Andrews took to social media on Friday to urge women to not change their behaviours.

Ah, the smell of blue pills.

"In a few days, women across Melbourne will gather in Princes Park for a vigil of her life," he wrote.

"And they will do so firm in the knowledge that Eurydice died because of her attacker's decisions – not because of her own. They're right. And we need to accept that fact, too.

"We'll never change a thing until we do. We'll never change this culture of violence against women. All women.

Culture of violence against women? According to the 2013-2014 stats, men are murdered at a rate of 2:1 as opposed to women.

"We'll never change the fact that one woman in this country dies every week at the hands of a partner or former partner – someone they loved, in the safety of their own home.

You mean that women die as a result of their own sexual preferences? Hmm. sounds like another thing in the world that isn't my problem. Because, as you know, if it's not my pussy, then it's not my problem.

"We'll keep asking "Why didn't she leave him?" instead of asking "Why did he hurt her?" We'll keep asking "Why was she alone in the dark?" instead of asking "Why was he?" We'll keep ignoring the real problem, instead of actually fixing it.

Because bad boys make that ginny tingle and the more dangerous, the better. Also, I would never presume to tell the learned MP anything he already knows, but after a 10 pm peak, crime tends to slow down until about 6 am. Contrary to what the civilians think, criminals tend to work during the day like everybody else.

"So our message to Victorian women is this: Stay home. Or don't. Go out with friends at night. Or don't.

"Go about your day exactly as you intend, on your terms, because women don't need to change their behaviour. Men do."

Really? So, there are 24 million Aussies. Let's assume half of them are men. So 12 million male Aussies. The prison population of Australia is around 40,000. Let's be generous and assume they are ALL men (for the sake of argument). Now, let's be even more generous and multiply that by 2 to take into account people who haven't been caught.

So it is implied by the learned MP that 99 & 1/3% of men must grovel and change their behavior due to the actions of 2/3rds of 1% of men?

Makes perfect sense.

Dangerous advice. She’s basically telling women to be reckless because bad people who would victimise them shouldn’t exist. Such advice will result in more women harmed than if you told Them to look out for their safety as much as possible
