In a nutshell, it seems like biology pushes men toward a desire to be dominant (for higher reproductive status), while modern society/morals/"soul" desire a more harmonious, egalitarian society. How can men balance the desire to be respected/desired as a sexual being with the desire to be a member of a harmonious, supportive society?
As a sidebar, I'm also curious how it shakes out in societies that are already more egalitarian than ours here in the US (e.g., Nordics, Netherlands, etc.).
