The NSW Domestic Violence Death Review Team (DVDRT) gave us a shout out! The data the DVDRT uses to draw its conclusions is sealed so no independent verification is possible. Yet the NSW government accepts their conclusions as gospel.

Unprovoked 'one punch' attacks are now subject to harsh penalties in Australia unless the perpetrator is a woman in which case she gets off with a small fine as usual.

We have a lot of conflict in our work: trouble with mens' rights activists, pushback about recommendations.

Now I need to know: what trouble?

We disagree with them

I wonder what is so damaging or unsettling to the narrative that the government has to conceal the data?

They claim it is because it contains private information but data anonymisation is very sophisticated now so they could release it anonymised if they wanted to. Perhaps we should start to campaign for this.

I will explore some options; I agree data like this should be freely available to the public. otherwise the conclusions and motivations of those involved become, naturally, suspect.

If you want to push for release of the anonymised data please keep me in the loop. AMRA can help.

Biased trash with government authority. Good job.

I remember one time I was stuck in meetings and my kid got bitten by a dog and she picked him up.

I don't know a single parent that would stay in meetings after their child was bitten by a dog. WTF.
