What is the problem with the following claim: "Women have become more like men. So now men need to become more like women and then everything will be fine."

Women have not become more like men. They're roleplaying and making society look away from all the ways they're not like men, to bend the rules, lighten the load, change the job site, etc. The male roles are just another outfit in their mental wardrobe. They can do this because they are quite flexible in their self image and enjoy putting on different looks and acts. This doesn't work very well for men, who tend to build themselves up through long work and then use that self to be useful and accomplish stuff.

We end up with bitchy bossy women being told they're strong, and men who get steamrolled over because they're told anything else is wrong.

The women aren't attracted to feminine men. It's that simple. If you don't understand why that is a tremendous, horrific concern for young men and boys, and why it leads to suicide when they're raised this way, then you aren't even a human being.

It's that simple. The women dominate the men then the men kill themselves because they're excluded and unwanted and denigrated all day long. Because women control the sexual court and they're not playing ball. That's the "marriage crisis."

We do have an answer. The answer should be simple and clear to all human beings. No one is listening.

It's like everyone, even the guys here, don't understand why teaching boys to fail is wrong. And no one holds women accountable for anything so we simply look toward their needs no matter how incompatible with reality they are.

The problem is that according to feminism, the only traits of value are masculine. The only metrics that matter (money, power, prestige, etc.) are masculine so it makes sense that everyone should be more masculine. No one devalues the feminine more than a feminist.

Simple: I'm not a woman.

I have no interest in doing any of the things people typically associate with women. I'm not talking about jobs or family life...I mean I hold absolutely no interests in common with the vast majority of women. I can't understand the female need to be in constant contact with somebody. I see what people claim are women's multi-tasking abilities and I see an inability to focus. I can't watch a soap opera or listen to some sappy love song. I'm not female.

If we believe what is told to us, gender is a social construct. This means it is what we make of it. Fair enough, makes sense. I mean biology plays a part of it but I can see some behaviors being acceptable due to reinforcement of society through time.

But the next step told to us is that being masculine is the wrong sort of gender construct, and we should be feminine because it is the "superior" one.

There are physiological differences between the sexes, and these differences manifest as different innate outlooks and behaviors. You see this quite clearly when you look at how populations self organize into professions ( men tend to focus on things and production, women tend to focus on people and distribution of resources ), absent affirmative action manipulation.

So while some women and some men have moved into the other gender's traditional work space, I'd argue that it's far from prevalent ( as evident by all the bitching and moaning about equal pay, ect... ).

Hell, I'd even argue that it's a worthwhile goal to be pursuing, trying to achieve gender parity in all professions.

I don't like to pressure anyone to behave a certain way or not. Do your thing and I'll do mine.

So, it's important to remove barriers that keep men from doing stereotypical feminine things, but I don't see any reason to encourage men to "be more like women" if they don't want to.

Even if it actually were possible, someone choosing to be more like me in some way does not obligate me to be more like them, especially with them picking what they want for them and also them picking what they want for me.

Not only is it completely one sided, it's patently ridiculous. Nobody needs/must/ought to change unless it actually benefits them in some way that they personally find to be worth the change.

Then finally, "everything will be fine" shows the level of naivete that this claim is built on. There are TONS of problems in the world (actual honest to goodness problems, not made-up crap like manspreading, mansplaining, or "the paaaaaatriarchy") that have nothing to do with gender roles.

This is all just about what is valued. In the 21st century, traditional male roles are valued more than traditional female roles. Ironically, that's the fault of feminists who stigmatized traditional female roles by doing things like shaming women for staying at home to raise children. They basically devalued traditional female roles over the course of decades. Now some women want to fill traditional male roles because feminists claimed that these traditional male positions are "powerful" while the traditional female positions are "oppressed". So the idea that men should embody traditional female traits is actually counter to feminist ideology which has historically shunned these traits.

I'm not a feminist scholar, so this view is perhaps misinformed.
