This is the only right men have on women btw, to show their nipples in public. This should change!

On the flip side, women enjoy extra legal protection against unwanted touching of their chests. In the state statutes that I've looked at re this issue, sexual assault statutes include a female's chest as part of the definition of a "sexual organ" or similar phrase, but not a male's chest.

Well free the nipple was largely about saying a breast is a breast and a nipple is a nipple so that creates inconsistency which that feminism is full of.

However why this simplistic focus on just breasts and nipples? It is far more acceptable for a womens ass to be visible than a mans. Just browsing tinder you will see girls in see through blouses over a bra. Men would never try and pull that of. I doubt there is a big area difference in modern bathing suits for men and women.

Well then its legal protection (which is upheld) vs legal right/restrictions, the two kinda go together imo, which most men dont take advantage of and I havent read about many cases of women being arrested for.

Then there is the question if which is more important legal restrictions which nobody really cares about vs something being socially taboo.

I personally find it a rather silly issue to make as big a case about as was done.

You dont think the likelihood of said repurcussions matter?

There is also a huge difference in being restricted from doing something by possibly being arrested as a consequence and not being allowed to do it.

By that am I saying that women should have less freedom to bare their chest? No i am not but I am saying this is an overstated and overrated benefit for men and comes with the benefit of being ogled which some find to be the worst of the worst.

It is purely my opinion but i very doubt the legality of baring their chest is the reason girls/women dont do it.

Depends where you live.

Edit for clarity: there are a number of places where it is not illegal for women to be topless.

True

Not true in Canada

interesting read... Personally I think, this swift liberation of the man nipple, has a bit to do with legislators being male dominant and empathetic by personal experience...
