It's more common than you'd like to think. If I was there, I'd pull out my phone and start recording the conversation in secret (legal where I live), and say something along the lines of of:

"My son is a child, and doesn't need to be discriminated against by some female-centric authority figure on an empowerment binge. This is a public space, for ALL people, and if you don't like it, leave and go fuck yourself. And to think you call yourself a mother when you are teaching your child(ren) that sex-segregation and disparagement of boys and men is ok."
