Jarvis is facing a recommended 18-month prison sentence after entering the guilty plea. She was also charged in Fayette County for crimes with the same student.

The former teacher is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 5, and she will begin home incarceration while awaiting sentencing.

I can only think that if the genders were reversed, a male perpetrator would probably get decades. And rightly so. She'll most likely get the recommended 18 months, and it'll probably be credited with time served.

I wouldn't be surprised if she avoids jail entirely. Unfortunately, too many people even in so-called Criminal Justice System think just like the morons in the comments on that article
